INSTALL, BACKUP AND RESTORE A FIRMWARE INTO FLASH MEMORY
INSTALL
To install a firmware into flash memory:
1) Drag&Drop the file icon of the image that you wish to install on the panel "Drag&Drop file here", or use the folder button to the right to browse directories for selecting a dreambox image file [*.img]
FlashWizard will perform various checks for the selected/dropped image, such as if it is a valid "CompressedROMFS" image, and if its size does not exceed the Cramfs memory partition's size (preventing to install larger images, built only for multiboot install).
If the image is a valid one, the install procedure will start, else an error message will appear and the installation will stopped.
2) FlashWizard does automatically all the stuff... all to do for you is to watch install progress until the rebooting of the dreambox.
On the FlashWizard window, you can see all the operations performed during the install.
On the TV screen (Enigma window) will appear a message saying that the installation of a new firmware is running.
Important: FlashWizard PRO performs a check (verify) of the data written to the flash memory while installing, to make sure the image install will come out without errors.
3) Finished! J
Important: when dreambox reboots, there is NO need to do the "Flash Erase" procedure: it is done automatically!
Warning: with some non-original images, you may need to do the standard flash erase to let them loading and working.

BACKUP AND RESTORE AN IMAGE ON FLASH MEMORY
The backup procedure allows to make a snapshot of Dreambox's memory status, that can be restored at any time reloading the backup file.
To make a backup of an image installed on flash memory, you DON'T NEED to have an Hard disk and/or an Usb stick installed, FlashWizard will perform the backup using the ram memory of the decoder.
Backup: press the button "Flash Image Backup" to start the process that will backup and archive the firmware installed in flash memory, all included: addons, plugins, and all other stuffs are actually present.
At the end of the procedure, FlashWizard will save the entire backup into a custom *.fwz file, named by you on the "Save backup as:" dialog box.
Restore: drag&drop a *.fwz backup saved file on drag&drop panel, or select a file using the open file button.
At the end of the restore, Dreambox will reboot automatically, and the previous saved image will be reloaded with full settings and full addons, just like it was when you did the backup.
WARNING: do not flash erase the image at the reboot, or you will lose all your settings-addons stored in.
