This summary "tutorial" to explain how to fix a DM800 not booting with the code "ERROR01 : NO CA FOUND" on the screen.

Cause of the error:
- bad flash
- official image flashed

-> ERR01 : NO CA FOUND

What doesn't work anymore:
- no boot
- no network connection
- no possible image upgrade
- DreamUp unable to upgrade even with serial cable

Solution:
1) Use DreamUp 1.3.3 with serial (null modem) cable
2) Choose COM1, connect, power ON DM800 and wait
3) After a few seconds the DM800 screen will come back with an IP address
4) Type in that address in IE
5) Flash first a BootLoader (ex: 72R1)6) reboot DM800 and hold power button
7) Wait for IP to appear on DM800 screen
8)Type in that address in IE
9) Flash your desired image

THE SPLUTION DONT WORK THE ONLY OPTION LEFT TO HAVE ANOTHER DM800 & START PROGRAMING VIA SERIAL THEN SWITCH IN THE MIDDLE TO THE DEFECTICE CLONE

if your receiver is a clone
just keep rebooting it
then install new image its depand if you have 072
you can install gemini 1 or 2
4.2 will work very well
anyway
i just fixed a clone dm 800 from china this way
sometimes the image is defected well most of the time
so just installing a new image from a chinese site will do the job well
it will wor well
if after installing its stuck or freeze just reboot it 5 times and get the electric power of from the dm800 hd
then power it back it will work
if not reflash the right image
gemini 1 -4.2 work well
gemini 2 also but sometimes it need to be installed twice in clone dm 800 hd
install the version for clone

I bougt a new DM800 to check the old one with the error "no ca found" - what I noticed is that the SERIAL CABLE IS A NULL MODEM TYPE THAT CANT READ MY DREAM BOX 800 but workes ok on dreambox 500s

Could you till me please what type of NULL CABLE MODEM are you using ?

Hi every one
I have been with this problem along time, & checked every solution on the web these is how it goes :
1) You need second dream box 800
2) You need to make sure NULL cable is ok
3) Start programming the working dream box 800 using the NULL cable
4) Upload boot loader (if bought in 2010 you can use BL 75)
5) after uploading boot loader make sure broken dream box is on then upload to the working DM same boot loader again but wait briefly to the acknolgment when starting upload switch the NULL cable to the broken DM you will see the screen change to the default programming screen with DHCP & an IP
6 after its done just reboot the DM & you start ... you will see that you won't have the No CA Found Error any more.
7 after that you can start the programming process again for the DM800 that was broken
