Servus TV to launch SD and HD on Astra |
regional broadcaster Servus TV plans a September launch on the Astra satellite
at 19 degrees East in both SD and HD. The channel will also be available locally
on cable and DVB-T.
The channel is part of the Red Bull energy drinks
company and plans to broadcast free-to-air. Programming will include magazine
probrammes about the international arts and artists scenes, live concerts from
opera houses and concert halls as well as discussion programmes.
Unlike
other private broadcasters from Austria such as Puls TV, ATV and Austria 9 TV
the new channel has decided to broadcast free-to-air. The channel is looking for
international distribution as well on cablenets across German language
territories. In Austria, Servus TV also has a regional DVB-T
