DIALOGUE, SOFIA - Bulgaria is to receive help from Germany in developing and implementing a national audiovisual policy that includes copyright protection.
The country’s Ministry of Culture has teamed up with Germany’s Federal Government Commission for Culture and Media in a Phare twinning project that should provide Bulgaria much-needed assistance in the transition to digital broadcasting.
Speaking in Sofia, Yavor Milushev, Bulgaria’s deputy minister of culture, and representatives of the German Commission for Culture and Media headed by Bernard Möwes, outlined a series of targets for the coming year.
Amendments to legislation helping to pave the way from the transition to digital broadcasting, along with anti-piracy measures, will be high on the agenda.
