A documentary about Grammy-nominated songwriter and producer Benny Blanco, the man behind hit songs from Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Taio Cruz, Britney Spears, Wiz Khalifa, Mike Posner, Justin Bieber, Sean Kingston and others. Featuring artist Neon Hitch and songwriter Claude Kelly.
A film by Jeremy Gillam.
Jewish musician Benny Blanco (Benjamin Levin) is only twenty five years old, but he has written fourteen number one hits for Maroon 5, Wiz Khalifa, Gym Class Heroes, Trey Songz, Taio Cruz, Ke$ha, and many other performers.
Benny Blanco writes songs for young, attractive performers who don’t have the talent to create their own music. He also promotes collaborations between performers in different genres.
(sound familiar)
Since the 1980s, Jewish musician Rick Rubin has produced many hits for performers including Run-D.M.C., LL Cool J, The Beastie Boys, Sir Mix-a-Lot, Danzig, Red Hot Chili Peppers. System of a Down, Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake, Linkin Park, Kid Rock, and Metallica.
Back in 1986, Rubin encouraged rap group Run D.M.C. to collaborate with rock band Aerosmith. They recorded a new rap-rock version of “Walk This Way”.
The song became the first hit song for rap music andintroduced hip hop into mainstream American culture:

In 2004, MTV claimed Rick Rubin was “the most important producer of the last twenty years”. They referred to him as the “Iron Chef” of metal and the “most important white boy” in hip hop.
However, Rick Rubin has become outdated to the most recent generation of young Americans.
Therefore, Benny Blanco uses the same formula and writes for today’s stars. Both musicians write songs for young performers that become youth anthems.
Below are some of the hits Benny Blanco has written:
Moves Like Jagger (performed by Maroon 5)
Diamonds (performed by Rhianna)
Dynamite (performed by Taio Cruz)
Work Hard, Play Hard (performed by Wiz Khalifa)
Heart Attack (performed by Trey Songz)
Stereo Hearts (performed by Gym Class Heroes)
Don’t Trust Me (performed by 3OH3!)
Please Don’t Go (performed by Mike Posner)
Who Dat Girl (performed by Flo-Rida)
She Doesn’t Mind (performed by Sean Paul)
Fuck U Betta (performed by Neon Hitch)
Back in 2010, Blanco wrote the song “Eenie Meenie” and encouraged rapper Sean Kingston to record the song with teen singer Justin Bieber.
MTV praised the song for combining Sean Kingston’s “island-inflected” reggae style with Bieber’s “sweet tween” pop sound.
Just last year, Blanco wrote the song “Payphone” and encouraged rapper Wiz Khalifa to work with pop-rock bandMaroon 5.
Music Critic Melinda Newman from HitFix applauded the “shiny, military-like precise beat that still manages to sound convincingly warm. It’s melodic and catchy, and but not overly aggressive.”
In other words, Blanco promotes more “black” music to “white” kids.
Dr. Luke has also written some of Ke$ha’s biggest hits , including “C’mon”, “We R Who We R”, “Sleazy”, “Blow”, “Party at a Rich Dude’s House”, and “Blah Blah Blah”.
In the first verse of that song, she sings:
“I don’t really care where you live at,
Just turn around, boy, let me hit that
Don’t be a little bitch with your chit chat,
Just show me where your dick’s at”
In “The Phoenix”, Daniel Brockman wrote the song has a “lusty, disturbingly carefree tone” and claims the album is “a 45-minute ode to partying with no consequences and objectifying members of the opposite sex… Animal is a clear subversion of pop norms amid a sea of synth stabbing and whisky guzzling, a kick in the groin on a dark dance floor.”
The modern music industry has no interest in “talent” or “creativity” anymore.
Now, record companies find young, attractive performers to exploit the passions and desires of their audience.
This means flashy, young performers like Maroon 5, Wiz Khalifa, and Ke$ha singing songs written by Jewish musicians like Benny Blanco.
