Only Israel To Modify America’s F-35
The USA is one of the top five sellers of arms in the world. However, any advanced military technology bought from the US comes with huge stacks of strict rules outlining exactly what allies can do to modify the hardware and systems. Usually, the answer is nothing. No modifying, no adding or deleting hardware or software, and not even repairs without consent from the Pentagon. America usually says no, especially when it comes to hyper-advanced weapons ( and crazy expensive) F-35 Lightning II Joint Striker Fighter Jet. However, it seems that Israel has convinced Uncle Sam to allow its military to do just that with the jet. Israel said that it's unique needs as a state living with the perpetual possibility of conflict, require the ability to act quickly and autonomously.
