Commonly known as the "Trophy Active Protection System," the apparatus likely has a future on Washington’s M1A1 Abrams main battle tanks. After detecting enemy projectiles, the system fires off ball-bearing filled canisters to neutralize the incoming objects.
Utilizing 360-degree coverage supplied by four mounted antennas along with fire control radars, the system’s internal computers calculate firing angles instantly, which activates launchers situated on the side of the vehicle that fire off the buckshot. More
M1a3 Abrams will be produced around 2020. As the goes for M1a3 information of as far it goes the tank might be light reinfiorcecd upgraded super strong armor, lightweight 12Omm smoothbore cannon and road wheels instead of tank tracks as from the resouces ideas of new tank.So M1a3 might be mild light heavyweight medium main battle tank in the future 60 tons or less of weight as M1a2 Abrams 7x weight of future Abrams .
Active Protection Systems and Explosive Reactive Armor are german/israeli inventions. One of the first APS was tested 1969 in germany, however the soviets first used them in combat in 1977/78. Explosive reactive armor as we know it today was invented by the german researcher Dr. Manfred Held.

+ since the M256 main gun is a german 120mm L44 with a spring recoil instead of a hydraulic breach.
The EMES 15 Gunners Primary Sight is made by Hughes
- The WNA-H22 gun drive was co-developed with Honeywell, and the stabilization was developed from the Cadillac-Gage system employed on the Leopard 1A1. Keep in mind that the first production tank to use gun stabilization was the M3 Medium Tank.
- The tracks are dual pin, with rubber track pads, a design not seen on German tanks until postwar. American tanks had been using such a design since the 1930's
- An American turret layout, with the Gunner and TC on the right, as opposed to the WWII German layout of Gunner/TC on the left
The EMES 15 is made by STN-Atlas Elektronik under license from Hughes.

ERA was first studied by the Russians, and first patented by Manfred Held, a Norwegian, under a West German patent while doing research for Rafael.
armor plates are not even US desinged they originate from soviet union first used on t-64 soviet main battle tank
Germany wasn't using ERA to this day due to danger of collateral damage to their soldiers. The only ERA in service with the german army today is the HL-Schutz Rad/Kette (former CLARA) on the Puma IFV since it doesn't use metal as part of the flyer plates, making it safe for infantry.
its l-44 german made gun they just renamed it
and they were using also a british l7 gun on their m-60 tank

Held was Norwegian.
There: http://id3486.securedata.net/fprado/armorsite/abrams.htm I brought the chamber pressure myth up just to show that are many misconceptions around saying this gun is either entirely US developed or US modified.
ts a british desing gun with a few modifications as i said the US have licence to produce l7 and l44 guns so they renamed it its not an american desing the french also have build their own clone of l44 under licence its called CN120-26
the M1 Abrams is fully US technology and the Rafael Trophy Family is 100% Israeli made and designed. THERE IS NO GERMEN TECH HERE.
this is the Israeli trophy which is 100% proven > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OtMgnRMIspQ&t=46s
than Israel also developed 2 other system that can protect ANY land sea and air .
Jet fighter. Tanks .helicopters. and ANY other weapon system..
one is called IronFist Active Protection System > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8MbMiBbdtY
and the Iron Beam All made in Israel .
'Iron Beam' laser-based defense system made in Israel .https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qhsghwyt6gk
The M1 is fully manufactured in the US, but that does not mean it's all 'US technology'. The M256 comes still from rheinmetall, it's just build in the US. Watervilet arsenal
