German broadcaster Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland will roll out its Ultra HD channel RTL UHD to DTH satellite households in Austria.
The channel will be offered by Austrian TV platform simpliTV on Astra (19.2° East), transponder 1 (11,214 GHz H, SR 22.000, FEC 2/3).
Kick-off will be with the international football match between Germany and Argentina on October 9, 2019. In addition to football, the channel’s line-up includes Formula 1 racing, daily soap Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten and selected show highlights.
RTL UHD will be included in the subscription of all existing customers of simpliTV SAT; this also applies to the free 6-month trial subscription.
