China sends first COVID-19 medical teams to Africa
China has sent its first two medical teams to Africa to help Burkina Faso and Ethiopia fight the COVID-19 pandemic. Both teams departed on April 16. The experts will provide guidance on prevention and control, as well as training and consulting services. The Chinese foreign ministry says the country has provided medical supplies to the African Union, and to all the African countries that have diplomatic relations with China.
