Two more Russian topline Su-57 land in Syria to challenge US, Israeli air might
Some missing technical facts here:
1. The new SU-57 fighter uses exterior pods to carry many of its munitions, particularly surface-targeted ordnance. This makes the SU-57 far more visible to radar arrays, both land-based and air-based, compared to the F-35.
2. The SU-57 has two large exhaust vents, compared with just one for the F-35. This makes the Russian fighter much more vulnerable to heat-seeking missile sensors.
3. The SU-57 does not utilize the same radar-dispersion skin materials as the F-35, according to Janes Defense. Once again, this makes the Russian fighter much easier for air-to-air missiles to detect.
4. In stand-off AtoA missile technology, the Americans are far ahead, which provides a much higher lethality ratio for US-launched missiles– and from much greater distances to provide greater survivability or US aircraft.
Now you can huff and puff all you like, but these are well-documented technical details. Sorry, Ivan. Even when you copy our designs and some of our technology, you lose in the end. Happy trails! ;- )
