sraeli Air Force (IAF) F-35I stealth fighters had struck several Iranian targets in Iraq twice last month. Some reports indicate that the raids were carried out on July 19 and again on July 28.
One of the targets was a base of Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) which is known as Hashd Al-Sha’abi.
It is an Iraqi state-sponsored umbrella organization composed of some 40 militias
The base was located about 50 miles or 80 km north of Baghdad.
This is not the first time Israel seems to have penetrated Iraq’s air space.
As reported last year by Kuwaiti Al-Jarida newspaper, two F-35I Adir jets flew undetected over Syria and Iraq and were able to sneak into Iranian airspace.
They carried out reconnaissance missions over the Iranian cities Bandar Abbas, Esfahan and Shiraz.
